Access to this website is restricted to people of legal drinking age. Thank you for your understanding.
Domaine Céline & Frédéric Gueguen takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page explains what information is collected on the chablis-gueguen.fr website, why, and how you can exercise your rights.
The data controller for the data collected on this website is Domaine Céline & Frédéric Gueguen, a French limited liability company (SARL) registered with the Auxerre Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under no. 791 501 380, with its registered office at 5 bis, rue Jules Rathier, 89800 Chablis, France. For any question about your data, you can contact us at contact@chablis-gueguen.fr.
We collect the data you provide to us voluntarily.
Contact form: your name, e-mail address and the content of your message.
Booking a lodging: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, chosen lodging, dates of stay, number of guests, any promo code, and the date on which you accepted the terms of sale and this policy. To calculate and declare the tourist tax, the number of guests and nights is also used.
Payment: your bank card is entered in a secure form provided by our payment provider Stripe, which processes it directly. The Domaine neither receives nor stores your card number: it only receives a payment reference and the status of the payment.
Technical data: to protect the website and the booking service against abuse, a non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address is kept for a few minutes in order to limit the number of attempts, and the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot service processes technical browsing information.
Enquiries and contact: to answer your requests. The processing is based on your consent, given when you submit the form, and on the legitimate interest of the Domaine in replying to its prospects and customers.
Booking: to record and manage your booking, collect payment, welcome you and send you the practical information for your stay. The processing is based on the performance of the contract concluded with you.
Legal obligations: keeping accounts, and collecting, declaring and remitting the tourist tax.
Security: preventing fraud and automated submissions, on the basis of the Domaine’s legitimate interest in protecting its service.
Your data is not subject to any automated decision-making or profiling.
Contact form: data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then archived for a maximum of 3 years from the last contact, unless the law requires a longer retention period.
Booking: data is kept for 5 years from the end of the stay to manage the relationship with the guest and any claims. Accounting records (invoice, payment receipts, tourist tax) are kept for 10 years, in accordance with legal requirements.
Technical data: the IP address fingerprint used to limit attempts is kept for a few minutes only.
Your data is intended for Domaine Céline & Frédéric Gueguen. It is not sold, rented or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
It is processed, strictly to the extent necessary for the service to work, by our technical providers: the website host (Hostinger), Guesty (booking management platform), Stripe (online payment) and Cloudflare (Turnstile anti-bot service, which does not use advertising cookies and is not used to track visitors).
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism).
This website uses technical cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work (for example, remembering the age check). When you book, the Stripe payment module may set cookies that are necessary for payment security and fraud prevention.
If an audience measurement tool (such as Google Analytics) is introduced, this page will be updated to explain its purpose and let you make your choice.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict the processing of, and port your data. You can exercise these rights at any time by e-mail at contact@chablis-gueguen.fr. Some booking-related data (accounting, tourist tax) must nevertheless be kept for the period set by law, even if you request erasure. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL — www.cnil.fr).
