Our vines lie both in the Chablis vineyards and in the Auxerrois vineyards, a few kilometres from Chablis — together they make up the 50 hectares of Céline and Frédéric Gueguen’s estate. The diversity of these appellations is a challenge in itself: 51 different climats (individual named plots), across widely varied terroirs between Chablis, Chichée, Saint-Bris and Irancy. The balance between soil and microclimate differs everywhere — differences that are especially visible at harvest time, when several weeks separate the first plots picked from the last.
Céline and Frédéric craft generous, honest wines that bear the imprint of each vintage — from the freshness of Petit Chablis to the depth of the Grands Crus, by way of the Yonne’s lesser-known grape varieties.
