Our family story

Two winegrowing families, one estate founded in Chablis by Céline and Frédéric.

Our story

Two winegrowing heritages, one shared venture

Céline and Frédéric were both born into winegrowing families from the Chablis and Auxerre area. In April 2013, driven by a deep desire for independence, they founded their own estate together — writing a new chapter in a family story that began long before them.

Today the estate extends over 50 hectares, planted mostly with Chardonnay and complemented by rarer, historic grape varieties — Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Aligoté, Sacy and César — which express the full diversity of the Auxerrois vineyards.

Vines, dates and first names

1965

Marie-Louise and Émile plant their vineyard

In Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, Émile Petit and Marie-Louise Pinon, Céline’s grandparents, plant a plot of Aligoté using massal selection. More than sixty years later, it gives us La Vigne de Marie-Louise.

1975

One year, two births, one plot

Céline and Frédéric are born that year. In Préhy, on Kimmeridgian soil, a plot of Chardonnay is planted : it will become La Vigne de 1975, an old-vines cuvée honouring their birth year.

April 2013

The estate is born

After years spent at leading Chablis houses, Céline and Frédéric found their own estate, starting from Céline’s maternal family vineyard in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux : only three hectares were being farmed at the time.

2016

The first gîte opens its doors

The estate opens its first gîte and begins welcoming visitors for stays in Chablis.

2021

The shop opens in Chablis

Céline and Frédéric open their shop at 5 bis rue Jules Rathier, in the heart of Chablis : a place to find all the cuvées and taste them on the spot.

Today

50 hectares, from Petit Chablis to Grand Cru

The estate farms 50 hectares in Chablis and the Grand Auxerrois, up to the Bougros Grand Cru, using sustainable HVE level 3 viticulture.

2026–2027

A new winery in Saint-Cyr-les-Colons

The estate is building a new winery in Saint-Cyr-les-Colons to bring all of its production together in one place.

Céline & Frédéric

Two winegrowers, one shared vision

Céline Gueguen
Winegrower, co-founder

Céline Gueguen

Born into a winegrowing family from the Auxerrois, Céline grew up alongside her father, Jean-Marc Brocard, one of the great producers of Chablis. Thirteen years at his side — in sales, marketing and wine tourism — gave her a complete view of the trade before she chose, in 2013, to create her own estate with Frédéric. Today she oversees every stage, from vine to market, and welcomes visitors to the cellar in Chablis.

Frédéric Gueguen
Winegrower, co-founder

Frédéric Gueguen

Arriving in Chablis at the age of 12, Frédéric learned the trade in the vineyards alongside his cousin Francis Boudin and his uncle Jean Durup, before training in Beaune. He went on to hold senior positions at the Jean Durup and Jean-Marc Brocard estates, where he ran the group’s vineyard operations. President of the Fédération de Défense de l’Appellation Chablis for seven years, he founded the estate with Céline in 2013, driven by the wish to make his own wines.

Our craft

From vine to glass

I.

In the vineyard

Sustainable viticulture, certified HVE level 3: ploughing to stimulate soil life, partial grass cover on some plots, natural fertilisers and natural treatments against disease. Harvesting is by hand.

II.

In the cellar

Long, gentle pressing, around twenty hours of cold settling, fermentation between 16 and 18 °C with native yeasts. For the reds, a 48-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration, with no excessive extraction.

III.

In ageing

Malolactic fermentation on fine lees from November to mid-April, then ageing in tank to keep the freshness and fruit of the wines. Bottling takes place at the estate.

Our philosophy

Elegance, precision, freshness

Our wines are defined by their elegance, precision and freshness, authentically expressing the unique terroirs of Chablis. Each cuvée reflects a place, a vintage and a craft handed down through generations — from hand harvesting to winemaking, with respect for the fruit and the terroir.
